The file 'MLSword.mcr' is a memory card image for use with
the playstation emulator 'ePSXe'.

It contains a saved game for King's Field (Japan) that replaces
the Short Sword that you normally have at game-start with the Moonlight Sword
and starts the game from the save point in the Barracks near the beginning.

Two other items that appear in the game data but don't appear in the final
game have also been added: the 'Dragon Crest' and 'Gold Coin'. They can be viewed
in the 'Drop Item' area of the menu. The Gold Coin is a close up view of the
coins dropped when an enemy is defeated and the Dragon Crest is evidently an
item that was cut from the final game but wasn't removed from the data.

How to use:
Place 'MLSword.mcr' in ePSXe's 'memcard' directory. Open ePSXe.
Go to 'Config' > 'Memory Card'. Push the 'Select' button, browse to and
select 'MLSword.mcr'. Then start a new KF game in ePSXe and load the
save game data from 'Area 1'.

There is a freeware program called Dexter which may be used to
convert this memory card image to other formats even transfer it
to a physical memory card with the help of a DexDrive.
